Sprimoglass is a leading glass manufacturer with over 130 years of experience in the industry. Sprimoglass operates in a sector characterised by variable production volumes and fluctuating workforce requirements; however, Sprimoglass relied on ad hoc and inefficient staff planning methods involving Excel spreadsheets, manual HR inputs, and unreliable attendance systems.

This fragmented approach damaged productivity:

  • Causing inconsistencies in payroll processing and strained HR and frontline teams.
  • Absenteeism tracking was unreliable, and shift planning lacked transparency.
  • High error rates due to manual data entry in multiple systems
  • More importantly, leadership lacked visibility and control.

As a result, inconsistent staffing decisions directly impacted production capacity and operational costs.

Sprimoglass needed to modernize and centralize workforce management processes to reduce inefficiencies in planning, attendance, and payroll

To address the challenges of Sprimoglass, Faktion developed Chroligo, an all-in-one SaaS platform, tailored to the needs of modern manufacturing operations. The solution seamlessly bridges people planning, attendance control, and payroll into one unified system across Sprimogroup’s companies and sites, eliminating the need for disjointed tools or manual processes.

The key components of the solution are:

Centralised Workforce Management:

Sprimoglass stores all employee records in one platform, including contracts, performance history, attendance, absences, and skills, enabling skill-based planning, performance tracking, and trainer–trainee assignments.

AI Shift & Staffing Planning:

The platform streamlines the creation and management of shifts, attendances, absences, custom closing days, and timesheets, while configurable workplace quotas ensure optimal coverage. An AI planning engine automatically allocates personnel based on site needs and employee competencies, adjusting in real time for absenteeism or peak workloads.

Touchless Time and Attendance System:

Ensures accurate, touchless time tracking at check-in and check-out by detecting unrecognised individuals, unplanned attendances, undertime, and overtime, all directly linked to payroll calculations. Provides real-time presence overviews to enhance workplace safety and enable immediate emergency responses such as fire evacuations.

Advanced Payroll Administration:

Translates validated work hours and shift data into payroll-ready output, minimising errors and eliminating double data entry, with seamless integration to SD Worx for fast and efficient payroll processing.

Custom Reporting:

Robust reporting capabilities tailored to specific operational and HR needs, providing actionable insights and enhancing decision-making.
