Faktion processes personal data in accordance with the legal requirements laid down in the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), and, where applicable, the Belgian law on the protection of natural persons with regards to the processing of personal data.

Faktion also works as a “processor” for most of our services. This means we handle personal data for our customers, who are mostly companies and institutions. As a processor, Faktion will handle personal data only as our customers tell us to.
We also encourage you to read your provider’s privacy policies. Faktion does not review, comment upon, or monitor its Customers’ compliance with their privacy policies. We also do not review Customer instructions to check if they comply with or conflict with their published privacy policies.
If you ask about data for which we are the processor, we will direct you to contact the company or institution that controls your data.
Personal data can come from you, from Faktion (for example, data we make about you), or from others.
We might ask you to provide personal data in preparation for or when entering into a customer agreement, when you visit our website, or when you want to stay up to date and sign up for newsletters.
Third parties may have provided information about you. For example, you may use third-party tools that require your consent to collect your information. This party must ensure that the data given to us is in line with applicable data protection law.
We may also create new personal data about you. For example, if you sign up for a newsletter or contact us, we may note why you are interested in our services.

These measures include physical and operational security measures, access controls, awareness-raising, and confidentiality clauses.
